The Borderland Mountainbike Challenge 2026, will be held at 10 am  on Saturday May 9th 2026 and will start, as usual, from Rhywlas Village Hall. This year there will be a coffee van selling coffee and snacks at the start and finish. Don’t forget, if you want to get others to sponsor you in for this great event you can launch your own fund raising page on Facebook via JustGiving.

So its time to get training

The 22 Mile Challenge

Taking the riders over green lanes and farm tracks, up and down the foothills of the Berwyn Mountains and is available to riders of all competence however, it’s not for the faint hearted as there is only about 300 mtrs of tarmac and probably no more than that on level ground. If the pandemic has done one positive thing, it is the explosion in cycling of all types and particularly, the growth in sales of electric mountain bikes so, in response, the challenge will welcome E-bikes from now on.
